At Southland we carry the mission to represent Jesus well as we engage with our community. We believe that the loving and serving of our region creates the perfect environment for the spreading of the Gospel to those outside our church walls.
Now with our brand new multipurpose facility completed in Nov 2019, we also have the great privilege of hosting events and gatherings that are very welcoming to all people as we share the grace of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom culture of inclusion.

The Building Journey
The 2 scriptures that the Lord identified to us regarding the building of our new facility were from Ezekiel 40 and Joshua 17.
These scriptures talk specifically about clearing 2 parcels of land and building a house for the Lord that is on a high hill, north of the city and positioned at a gateway entrance. The facility we built is exactly that, in a prominent position in the Bay Ridge Estate at the intersection of the Kings Hwy and the Princes Hwy, North Batemans Bay.
Lead Pastors:
Garren and Cassia Walton
Pastors Garren and Cassia Walton began their journey leading Southland Church in 2007. They have 2 daughters, Ella and Mia and have spent time in a number of locations around Australia serving within the local church.
While they love and appreciate the relaxed coastal lifestyle of the Batemans Bay region, their passion is to see God’s kingdom flourish here.
We at Southland believe that everyone is called to ministry and to generate this culture Garren and Cassia have appointed a team of ministry Hosts that 'Equip God’s people to do His work and to build up the church, the body of Christ’ ( Eph 4:12).
With a local oversight team, Southland Church also operates under the covering of our denomination, Acts Global Churches
(formally Apostolic Church Australia).
