Jesus’ main message He carried was GRACE.
He not only told stories of it but demonstrated it through relating to a wide range of people.. The outcast, the loner, the prostitute, the demon possessed and even Zacchaeus the dreaded and sinful tax collector in Luke 19.
One group of people who took up much of His time was the ‘experts in the law’.
These ones represent people of ‘ungrace’, stuck in their ways, who like judging others, and seem unchangeable.
I think we can all see a bit of these ‘experts’ in ourselves if we are honest enough.. and the thought of changing is a hard pill to swallow.
But the Apostle Paul gives us great hope in our ability to change. Check out Phillipeans 3 and read how much he had changed in his understanding. It is one of his great rants about how it’s only by the GRACE of God that we are made righteous, not by our works.
So let’s be careful not to judge others but show the same type of grace that Jesus would!
Also, just a reminder that we have our OT service at 6:30pm tomorrow night! It is going to be an amazing time in Gods presence with the gifts of the Spirit flowing! Why not bring someone who hasn’t been to church for a long time. There is nothing like His presence and anointing to bring about change!
